Senior Engineer (MEMS Processing)

    Job Description

    The Agiltron MEMS Engineering and Fabrication Team is responsible for developing and prototyping new MEMS devices with sufficiently high yield, which can be transferred to volume production. The Senior MEMS Process Engineer will play an integral role in concept and process development by analyzing engineering wafer data, understanding device failure modes and finding solutions, and establishing process control plans. The successful candidate will have the ability to collaborate with internal teams on MEMS design, packaging, new product introduction and operations.

    Preferred MEMS Process/Tool Experience:

    Lithography:

  • Hands on experience in ASML 5X and GCA Steppers both i-line and DUV (PAS 5000/80,100,200,250) , Scanners, Contact/Projection Aligners
  • Photo-Resist processing experience with: 193nm, 248nm, 365nm, 436-broadband and E-beam; Positive resist: UV210, UV110, UV6, SPR220, SPR700, TOK, MIR701, FujiFilm/ARCH, AZ thick-resists such as 46P20, 4400 Series for MEMS applications. Negative resists: PMMA, SU8. Experience in Image Reversal, bi-layer lift- off processes.
  • Dry/Wet Etching:

  • DRIE of Silicon using STS ICP RIE and Ion Beam Etch (Vecco). Dry Etching of Metals using Oxford, LAM, TEL Tools, Dielectric Etching Using LAM/Oxford/Alcatel
  • Wet Etching: Si Etch using KOH and metals (Al, Au, Ti, TiW, Cr) widely used for MEMS/MOEMS.
  • Deposition Tools:

  • E-beam, MRC, ALD, PECVD (Plasma Therm/Oxford
  • Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • Degree in Engineering, Materials Science or Physics (advanced degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years of MEMS industry experience
  • Extensive experience with statistical data analysis and semiconductor failure analysis
  • Hands on experience with semiconductor and MEMS fabrication tools, processes and integration

Senior Electronic Engineer

    Job Description

    The main focus of the Senior Electronic Engineer is to Lead the team in designing micro-chip/DSP/FPGA electronics for embedded systems for new fiber-optic devices and modules, MEMS based fiber optic switch matrix, Fiber coupled laser systems, Raman Spectrum systems, and IR sensors with low noise amplification and filtration.

    The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and implement analog and digital electronics for the photonic components/modules.
  • Analyze technical performances through experimentation for prototypes.
  • Release and transfer new electronics to manufacturing, establishing the manufacturing procedure for new developed products.
  • Update the existing products.
  • Required Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field
  • Over 8 years experience of designing embedded systems and programming the firmware
  • Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Familiar with Atmel AVR tiny micro-controller firmware and corresponding application circuit design. Experience using I2C communication, familiar with both master and slave communication protocol.
  • Familiar with C8051 micro-controller application circuit design. Familiar with low noise, EMI reduction DC/DC boost switch and linear power supply circuit design.
  • Analog and digital mixed circuit board level design, especially good at low noise analog operation amplifier circuit board level design, and analog and digital FIR or IIR filter design.
  • Knowledge and experience with DSP or ARM 32 bit micro-controller application circuit design, high speed digital circuit interface design, with especially strong background in FPGA design.
  • Familiar with USB and PC communication protocol.
  • Experience in TEC temperature feedback control circuit design, V/I converter circuit design. Strong background in PID feedback algorithm implementation using embedded software in C language.

Senior MEMS Process Engineering Technician

    Job description

    The main focus of the senior MEMS engineering technician is to assist in development and manufacturing of complex MEMS devices. This position also requires program management experience including interfacing with customers on complex technical issues. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, and costs. The process engineering technician is a part of a team driven to support manufacturing needs and to resolve in-line manufacturing issues and to support and develop engineering initiatives. This will involve interfacing with Production, Engineering, and Quality.

    The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide hands-on wafer processing expertise for company for assigned projects
  • Develop process expertise in assigned functional work areas, including training of others on equipment and processes, documentation, and product disposition
  • Verification of all process parameters and recording appropriately
  • Performs some equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Prepares reports, process flow diagrams, and SPC charts; as required
  • Works closely with Engineering in support of the projects
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Required Skills and Experience

  • B.S. B.A. degree (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, other) or equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge or understanding of Photolithography and Contact Aligners, Coating and Developers, Wet and Dry Etching Processes (RIE, ICP), Metrology and other MEMS processing technologies.
  • SPC, Data Collection, Process trouble shooting
  • Processing experience with a range of materials including Al2O3 and SiN
  • Works easily with others and has excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, as well as collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, creative mindset
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with proven ability to multi-task and operate successfully under tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with clean room floor operating protocols, equipment, systems and processes
  • At least 10 years experience in MEMS and/or semiconductor processing.
