Conduct research, analysis, and experimentation on improving performance of various nanostructured materials (nano-particles, nanowire, and carbon nanotube) for water treatment, smart coating and chemical/biological sensing applications. Collaborate with the development of surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and infrared spectroscopy based detector for toxic chemical detection. Design prototypes, test fixtures and experiments utilizing established mathematical and scientific techniques; design and fabricate functional SERS substrates using novel nanomaterials; develop methods for scaling up of the process. Also analyze data, prepare reports and research proposals; present communication at local, national, and international meetings as needed. Req: Ph.D. in Chemistry with strong background in material science and surface chemistry with industrial experience in chemical sensor development. Agiltron is looking for an engineer to take in charge of a spray coater development and manufacture. The system includes a computer controlled motor driving 2D scanning with spray heads that open and close in sequence. The candidate must be expert on motor driven mechanical system with good knowledge in mechanical design. Prior working experience in the same filed is a major plus.
